We’re proud to introduce our newest collection, the South Asian Collection! These vibrant and authentic seasonings were artfully developed by Chef Elizabeth Lindemer, Fuchs’ Corporate Executive Chef. The four items in this collection are:

• Butter Chicken Sauce Seasoning
• Kashmiri Spiced Cupcake Mix
• Kerala Style Lamb Curry
• Masala Chai Lassi Drink Mix

Our newest collection delivers on authenticity, while also providing unique and creative twists on popular South Asian foods and flavors. 

Butter Tacos 11Elizabeth Lindemer, CEC, Fuchs’ corporate executive chef, worked to develop blends that meet consumers’ high expectations of authenticity. “Butter chicken is an iconic dish with roots in the Punjabi cuisine, dating back to the 1950s. Our Butter Chicken Sauce Seasoning has a subtle balance of tanginess, sweetness, mild spiciness and richness. It’s easy to see why this is a favorite Indian dish for so many people,” Lindemer describes. 

With crisp autumn air quickly approaching, it’s time to give the grill a little break and warm up the oven. You’ll find our Kashmiri Spiced Carrot Cake Mix perfectly captures the captivating and inviting spices of the Kashmir Valley region. 

Kerala, located in southern India, serves as the inspiration behind our Kerala Style Lamb Curry Seasoning. “Spices have always played a fundamental role in the cuisine of Kerala. Dating back thousands of years, Kerala rose to fame for its production of spices such as black pepper, cardamom and cinnamon. So, it only seemed fitting that, as a spice and seasoning company, Fuchs North America would honor Kerala with a fragrant and enchanting curry seasoning,” Lindemer explains. 

Lassi 8Not only is our Masala Chai Lassi Drink Mix particularly on-trend, but it’s also the perfect beverage for fall. According to Lindemer, “Lassi is a traditional yogurt-based drink that is common through the Indian subcontinent. Fuchs’ version is slightly sweet and features a subtle tanginess from nonfat Greek yogurt, paired with a hint of black tea and warming spices such as ginger and cinnamon.”

We’re proud to introduce our newest collection, the Summer Sensations Collection! These fresh summer-inspired seasonings were artfully developed by Chef Elizabeth Lindemer, Fuchs’ Corporate Executive Chef. The four items in this collection are:

• Creamy Southwest Snack Seasoning
• Lemon & Herb Dressing Seasoning
• Tropical Seafood Rub Seasoning
• Peachipotle Dip Seasonin

Not only do these seasonings capture the essence of summer, but they all meet at least one of the common regulatory requirements that our customers are requesting. 

Tropical CodElizabeth Lindemer, CEC, Fuchs’ corporate executive chef, worked to develop blends that meet consumers’ desire for addicting flavors with better-for-you attributes. Inspired by the thought of vacationing on a tropical island, our Tropical Seafood Rub Seasoning is an enticing blend with sweet and scrumptious fruits, just the right amount of savory onion and garlic, and a little hint of heat. This seasoning is also Non-GMO and Gluten Free!

You’ll want to sprinkle our Creamy Southwest Snack Seasoning on all your favorite snacks! According to Lindemer, “Not only is this a flavorful blend of tangy buttermilk and cool sour cream, perfectly balanced with fragrant spices and robust peppers for a touch of heat, but it’s also Organic Certifiable and Non-GMO Project Compliant.”

Peachipotle Dip 9Sweet heat flavor combinations are becoming increasingly popular. We combined two of our favorite flavors, peach and chipotle, for this summer inspired dip seasoning. “Sweet and succulent peaches pair wonderfully with the slight heat and smoky flavor of chipotle peppers in our Peachipotle Dip Seasoning, a Non-GMO and Whole Foods Compliant blend. Try serving it with freshly cut veggies for a perfect summer snack or even spread it on your sandwiches and burgers,” Lindemer suggests.

You can’t go wrong with bright and vibrant lemon for summertime! For our Lemon and Herb Dressing Seasoning, we coupled lemons with fragrant herbs to help you whip up an amazing dressing for your garden fresh salads. It’s also Non-GMO and Whole Foods Compliant!

We’re proud to introduce our newest collection, the African Exploration Collection! These yummy seasonings were artfully developed by Chef Elizabeth Lindemer, Fuchs’ Corporate Executive Chef. The four items in this collection are:

• Berbere BBQ Seasoning
• Maghreb Style Boharat Seasoning
• Mozambique Style Piri Piri Sauce Base
• Senegalese Style Tamarind & Coconut Snack Seasoning

Each of the items in the African Exploration Collection are on-trend and particularly versatile, given that each one has more than one application. According to Fuchs’ director of marketing, Shannon Cushen, “As people have been becoming more adventurous eaters, there’s been an increase in demand for authentic ethnic cuisines and flavors inspired by different regions of the world. As a result, African cuisine and African inspired flavors have been gaining traction both in foodservice and at retail.”untitled 762

Our Mozambique Style Piri Piri Sauce Base features the piri piri pepper, which has been growing in Africa for hundreds of years. Although Piri Piri dishes may vary from region to region, it always delivers its characteristic fiery yet addictive heat. Not only does this seasoning make for an excellent sauce for shrimp, but it also works well on other seafood items and proteins, like chicken.

The Senegalese Style Tamarind & Coconut Snack Seasoning will be your new “go to” seasoning for snacks. According to Lindemer, “We’ve combined Tamarind, a common ingredient in Senegalese cuisine, with coconut for an exciting profile that works wonderfully on snacks, such as chips and nuts, but also can pair with chicken or fish.”untitled 779

Not only is our Berbere BBQ Seasoning particularly on trend, but it’s also incredibly versatile. “We noticed how well the Berbere blend complemented the flavors found in traditional BBQ. You’ll want to put this blend on everything from flank steak to popcorn and chips,” Lindemer suggests.

Northwestern Africa serves as inspiration for our Maghreb Style Boharat Seasoning. According to Lindemer, “You can taste the flavors of both the African and Arabic worlds in this blend, which features warm and savory spices and black pepper. This makes it the perfect seasoning for proteins, like chicken and lamb, as well as grains and vegetables.”

Wisconsin Cheese Industry Conference Recap

Three members of the Fuchs team attended the Wisconsin Cheese Industry Conference in Madison, Wisconsin last week. This was the first year that Fuchs has exhibited at the Cheese Industry Conference.

At our booth, we showed three unique and trendy cheese items. The first of which was a Mediterranean Pumpkin seasoning in goat cheese. Mediterranean cuisine has been 20170412 104257rising in popularity in the past couple of years, making this seasoning particularly relevant. Also in goat cheese, we showed a Berbere & Honey seasoning. Berbere, an African spice blend common in Ethiopia, brings the heat, while sweet honey balances it out. This is the perfect ethnic sweet heat combo! Last, but definitely not least, we showed a Smoky Bourbon with Maple and Apple seasoning in cheddar cheese. Chef Elizabeth Lindemer made these into quesadillas, and they were a hit!
