Signature Recipes from the Kitchens of Fuchs

These four easy, great-tasting recipes are just the beginning of what you can create when you start with our African Exploration seasonings as your foundation:


Berbere BBQ Flank Steak

Steps:

  • Apply 2 -3 Tbsp. Berbere BBQ Seasoning to each 1 pound of Flank Steak.
  • Let sit overnight (or at least 2 hours) in refrigerator.
  • Grill steaks over medium-high heat until desired doneness.

Chef Elizabeth’s Tip: Try this as a mouth-watering topical seasoning for snacks, such as popcorn and chips, too!


Maghreb Style Boharat Chicken Wings

Steps:

  • Combine 1-2 Tbsp. Maghreb Style Boharat Seasoning with 1Tbsp. olive oil to make marinade.
  • Apply to 1 pound of chicken wings; let sit overnight (or at least 2 hours) in refrigerator.
  • Bake at 350°F for approximately 30-40 minutes, or until fully
    cooked.

 

Chef Elizabeth’s Tip: This seasoning also works wonderfully with vegetables such as turnips, sweet potatoes and cauliflower. Or, mix it in with rice or grains.


Mozambique Style Piri Piri Shrimp

Steps:

  • Preheat a medium non-stick sauté pan over medium heat.
  • Add 1 Tbsp. oil and 1 ½ pounds raw, cleaned shrimp.
  • Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Combine ½ cup Mozambique Style Piri Piri Sauce Base and ½ cup water, and pour over shrimp in sauté pan.
  • Continue to heat for 4-5 minutes, or until fully cooked.

Chef Elizabeth’s Tip: You’ll want to try this seasoning on other seafood items such as mussels or cod – not to mention how well it works with chicken!

 


Senegalese Style Tamarind & Coconut Cashews

Steps:

  • Place ½ cup plain, unsalted cashews in a bowl.
  • Spray evenly with cooking spray.
  • Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp. Senegalese Style Tamarind & Coconut Snack Seasoning

Chef Elizabeth’s Tip: This seasoning also pairs well with the delicate flavors of fish such as cod or other white fish. Or, for a vegetarian option, try it with tofu.

These four easy, great-tasting recipes are just the beginning of what you can create when you start with our Summer Sensations seasonings as your foundation:


Lemon & Herb Yogurt Dressing

Lemon Herb Salad 11

Steps:

  • Combine ½ cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt with 2-3 Tbsp. milk and 2 Tbsp. Lemon and Herb Dressing Seasoning.
  • Mix well and refrigerate overnight (or at least 2 hours).
  • Serve with a fresh green salad or as a dip for freshly cut vegetables.

Chef Elizabeth’s Tip: This dressing is also wonderful as a dip for grilled chicken skewers!


Tropical Seasoned Grilled Cod

Tropical Cod

Steps:

  • Apply 1 Tbsp. of Tropical Seafood Rub Seasoning to a 6 oz. cod filet.
  • Place in a sealed container and refrigerate overnight (or at least 2 hours).
  • After marinating, preheat grill to Medium High heat.
  • Evenly apply pan spray to seasoned fish.
  • Place on grill and cook for 4 minutes, then turn over and grill for 3-4 more minutes or until fully cooked.

 

Chef Elizabeth’s Tip: This tropics-inspired seasoning is also perfect for salmon, scallops and other seafood.


Peachipotle Dip/Sandwich Spread

Steps:

  • Combine ½ cup sour cream or plain whole milk Greek yogurt with 2 tsp. Peachipotle Dip Seasoning.
  • Mix well and refrigerate overnight (or at least 2 hours).
  • Serve with freshly cut vegetables, chips or other snack items.

Chef Elizabeth’s Tip: This dip is also delicious as a flavorful spread for sandwiches and burgers.

 


Creamy Southwest Popcorn

Steps:

  • Place 1 cup freshly popped popcorn in a bowl.
  • Spray lightly and evenly with cooking spray.
  • Sprinkle popcorn with 1 Tbsp. Creamy Southwest Snack Seasoning.

Chef Elizabeth’s Tip: For a fun snack mix, try this seasoning on other munchies like chips, crackers or dehydrated vegetables.

These four easy, great-tasting recipes are just the beginning of what you can create when you start with our Summer Sensations seasonings as your foundation:


Butter Chicken Tacos

Steps:

  • Combine 2-3 Tbsp. Butter Chicken Sauce Seasoning with 1 cup water.
  • Bring to boil over medium heat.
  • Add 2 cups of cooked chicken.
  • Cook on medium-low setting for 2-3 minutes, or until chicken is heated through.

Chef Elizabeth’s Tip: This recipe is traditionally served with rice, but the sauced chicken also makes delicious Butter Chicken Tacos!


Kashmiri Spiced Carrot Cake

Steps:

  • Prepare cake pans by lining with parchment paper and spraying lightly with cooking spray. (You can also line a muffin
    tin with cupcake papers.)
  • Combine 1 cup sugar with 4 eggs in a mixing bowl.
  • Mix with a paddle attachment on speed setting 2 for 2-3 minutes. 
  • With mixer still running, slowly drizzle in 3/4 cups oil. 
  • Add ½ cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt and 1-½ cups shredded carrots; mix for 2 minutes or until fully incorporated.
  • Add 1-¼ cups of Kashmiri Spiced Carrot Cake Mix; mix for 1-2 minutes; then scrap sides and bottom of bowl.
  • Add 1-¼ additional cups of the cake mix, mixing until fully incorporated; scrape sides and bottom of bowl. (Mix again if needed.)
  • Pour batter into prepared cake pans or muffin tin.
  • Bake on center rack in preheated oven at 350°F for 23-30 minutes (cake pan) or 20-25 minutes (cupcakes).
  • Rotate pan halfway through bake time.
  • To check doneness, insert a toothpick into cake center; it
    should come out clean.

 

Chef Elizabeth’s Tip: For a more indulgent batter, add one or more of the following ingredients:
• ½ cup golden raisins
(hydrated and drained)
• ½ cup toasted shredded coconut
• ¼ cup crushed cashews
• ¼ cup crushed pistachios


Kerala Style Lamb Curry

Steps:

  • Apply 2-3 Tbsp. of Kerala Style Lamb Curry Seasoning for each pound of lamb.
  •  Let lamb marinate overnight.
  • Preheat a sauté pan over medium heat with 2 Tbsp. olive oil; sear lamb on all sides.
  • For each pound of lamb, add ½ cup water to pan; then cover.
  • Turn heat down and finish cooking to desired doneness.

Chef Elizabeth’s Tip: For tender cuts such as lamb chops, cook for approximately 5-7 minutes. For less tender cuts such as stew meat, simmer for approximately 1-2 hours or until tender.

 


Masala Chai Lassi

Steps:

  • Combine 2 Tbsp. Masala Chai Lassi Drink Mix with 1 cup milk, soy milk or other liquid of choice.
  • Mix well ... and enjoy!

Steps:

  • Combine 1 Tbsp. Caribbean Coconut Curry Milkshake Seasoning with 1 cup ice cream and ½ cup milk.

Filipino Style Banana Ketchup Chips

Steps:

  • Apply topically to chips at 8%-12%, or as desired.

Hawaiian Style Turkey Burgers

Steps:

  • Combine 1-2 Tbsp. Hawaiian Style BBQ Turkey Burger Seasoning with 1 pound ground turkey.
  • Shape into patties and allow to sit covered in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Grill over medium heat until reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.

San Juan Style Sofrito Dip

Steps:

  • Combine 4 Tbsp. San Juan Style Sofrito Dip Seasoning with 16 ounces of sour cream.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours, for best result let sit overnight.
